A night of hilarity in support of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Washington DC (RPCV/W)!
With the global melting pot continuing to heat up (literally and metaphorically), it could be argued that there has never been a more important time for humans to work together and support one another. But how can that even begin to happen without understanding each other? (Don't think too hard- that is a rhetorical question). And what better way to do that than through a community full of globally minded individuals working to solve some of the world's more challenging problems, globally and locally, both inside and outside the office? (Also rhetorical - please do not respond to this question).
That's why Grassroots Comedy is supporting our friends at Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Washington DC (RPCV/W) with the Super Spectacular Comedy Show for Cultural Understanding! RPCV/W is an organization for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and their community members to convene and connect through social events, professional development activities and community service opportunities to give back to the DMV. They are passionate about supporting their members' and community's needs to address white saviorism, disparities, and other systemic issues that are holding us back from a better world. They provide a network of resources and support for their members as they continue serving in their careers and through cross-cultural experiences.
If that's somehow not enough, we have a hilarious lineup of some of the funniest comedians in the region with a thing or two to say about cultural understanding.
